Abstract

This paper examines whether Cultural Intelligence can be acquired through the educational program, especially focusing on Project Based Learning. Traditionally, the indicators to measure the qualities of people who succeed in business had been IQ(Intelligence Quotient)and EQ (Emotional Intelligence Quotient) . In intercultural business communication, CQ(Cultural Quotient), or Cultural Intelligence is regarded as important. In order to evaluate the educational program, this research analyzed the students’ questionnaires. The analyses showed that the students understood “reasons for global expansion of small and medium enterprises” and “the importance of knowing the partner’s cultures and religions”. They also showed that the students placed importance on cultural adaptation.
