Paper Award in ABC-AP2013"
supported by
Japan Business Communication Association.
Presenters are encouraged to submit their full paper for the Best Paper
Award competition and potential journal publication. Two (1st & 2nd)
winners of competition will be awarded with a certificate and a
commemorative plaque recognizing their accomplishment. The winning papers
are to be published in the 2013 edition of the
Journal of Japan Business Communication Association. Full papers
submitted to the ABC-AP2013 committee
by 24:00 on March 1, 2013
(submission
starts on February 1st) will be considered for the Best Paper Award. The
winners will be announced during the closing ceremony at the
conference on March 15.
Submitted papers should not have been previously published or be under
consideration for publication elsewhere. Please refer to the submission
guidelines below, and apply for the Best Paper Award in ABC-AP2013!
Submission Guidelines
(Manuscript Preparation)
Applicants should
carefully follow
the guidelines in order to be considered as a candidate for the Best
Paper Award.
1) Title of the
full paper must be identical to that of your oral presentation
which will be given in ABC-AP2013. This will guarantee that your paper and
the oral presentation share the same original study.
2) Write the
manuscript in English, following the format specified in the
Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th
Edition).
3) Remove all
personal and institutional identification from the manuscript.
Referees should not be able to identify the author.
4) Submit the
manuscript and cover page as separate Microsoft Word files.
Additional PDF versions of these Word files will also be required. When
submitting, you will send four separate files (2 Word files
and 2 PDF files) as
attachment via e-mail.
5) Regarding the
manuscript:
a) On the first page of
the manuscript, include the title and an abstract of 150 words or fewer. No personal and institutional identification in the manuscript.
b) Start the body of the paper on the second page.
c) The manuscript should not exceed 5,000 words in total,
including the title, abstract, captions, endnotes, and references.
d) All margins (top, bottom, left, and right) should be one-inch
(2.5 cm).
e) One page should contain 40 lines.
f) Use 11-point "Times New Roman."
g) Endnotes should be used. No footnotes.
6) The cover
page should include:
a) Manuscript title, identical to that of oral presentation.
b) Name, institutional affiliation, and e-mail address for the first
author.
c) Name and institutional affiliation for all other authors.
d) A statement that the manuscript is original and is not
under consideration or published elsewhere.
General Information
1) All manuscripts
will be blind-reviewed by multiple referees. ABC-AP2013 committee will not
be privy to the
selection process.
2) If your article is
selected as a winning paper, you will be asked to provide necessary
modification following the referees' comments, including some additional
text formatting. You will not be allowed to change any contents in the
article unless otherwise permitted.
