Communication among different types of workers in Japanese nursing homes for the elderly

Abstract
The objective of the present study is to explore how well communication among different types of workers in Japanese nursing homes for the elderly is achieved. Especially, the present study focuses on information exchange between care workers, nurses, and social workers（i.e., care managers). For that purpose the data that were collected in May 2016 were analyzed. In total, 377 workers responded to the questionnaire: 265 care workers, 54 social workers, and 58 nurses completed the questionnaire. As a result of the analysis, all types of workers perceived that they send information to other types of workers to a greater degree than they receive it from other types of workers.
