Abstract
This article describes the results of a study of with the development and evaluation of business
communicative competence based on the Self-Counseling theory.
In the present study, we conducted training sessions for 79 new employees of a company to
develop their business communicative competence and to evaluate their performance for three
straight years after their joining the company and worked on quantifying and analyzing
evaluation results. As a result, we succeeded in visualizing the degree of development of each
employee’s business communicative competence. Accordingly, the employees have objectively
perceived their own business communicative competence and have promoted their own self-help efforts to improve their competence.
The findings of this study show that the Self-Counseling theory is one of the effective methods
to develop and evaluate business communicative competence of employees.
