Business Management Communication Map in Asia region

Abstract

By researching accurate business communication styles in not-familiar overseas countries where unexpected events occur, I would like to clarify how business leaders working overseas can accurately communicate their management policies and directions, leading to business success.
I have learned that management styles and communication styles differ depending on the culture and customs of each country. Based on Erin Meyer’s “The Culture Map”.
I would like to create “Asian business management communication map(China/ Taiwan/ Hongkong/ Thailand)with one-way TOP-down management(North Wind Management)and Mutual-way management(Sun Management)as one of the axes. Another axis is “Public communication,” which is the simultaneous transmission of information, and another axis is “Private communication,” which is the exchange of opinions on a case-by-case basis. By mapping each Asian country on these two axes, we can analyze the appropriate business communication style in each Asian country. Finally, based on the results of the analysis, I will make recommendations on what kind of management and communication style is appropriate.
