Development of Internships specifically for foreign students and Industry-government- academia collaboration to recruit and place foreign students in local companies

Abstract
This report describes the development of a new internship program to promote employment of foreign students in local small and medium-sized companies, which has led to 80% of the companies participating in the internship program hiring foreign students and 70% of the foreign students receiving offers of employment. This is not only an internship as a work experience for foreign students, but also a new type of internship that enables collaborative learning between the host company and the foreign student.
